Jon & Melva Rand
Founders
Jon and Melva Rand have been married since 1977, and when they retired–from broadcasting and nursing, respectively–they decided to attend Charis Bible college to see what God had in store for them in this season of their lives. Little did they know at the time that in 2017 God would plant Your Kingdom Purpose Ministries into their hearts.

Douglas Rossman
YKPM Central America Lead
As the executive director of Centro Ministerial Charis (Latin America), Pastor Douglas Rossman was introduced to Jon in 2017, when Jon fulfilled his mission trip Charis Bible degree requirement. Since that meeting, Jon has considered Douglas his mentor, friend and guide. Today, he is YKPM's "hands and feet" in Central America.

Bonnie McDougal
Missionary Mom
Bonnie, Melva’s mom, has wanted to be involved in mission work for most of her life. Being able to play a part in YKPM’s service to Zihuatanejo Christian Mission has finally given her that opportunity! Used backpacks, stuffed toys, and baseball caps that are acquired to bless those in need in Mexico, require expert laundering and mending prior to their distribution to the underprivileged children and adults the ministry serves. Now in her late eighties, Bonnie has enthusiastically volunteered to step in and do this. She also helps wipe down and sanitize the wheelchairs and walkers before they are sent.
